If the Tigers win the NZ Test series, Papon will get a bonus.

Nazmul Hassan Papon, president of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), stated that winning the current two-Test series against New Zealand will earn the Bangladesh team a sizable bonus.

“They made no inquiries about it [bonus]. However, they were expecting an announcement,” Papon said following a dinner in a Dhaka hotel with the Bangladesh Test team to congratulate them on their victory over New Zealand in Sylhet

.

According to Papon, the players must win the two-Test series and either draw or win the Dhaka Test, which is scheduled to start on December 6, in order to receive the bonus.

“One of the participants inquired about the bonus. I said that if they win the series, they will receive it. Without a doubt, they will receive a sizable bonus if they win the series,” stated the BCB president.

The low-key Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur will host the Tigers after they played and prevailed against the Kiwis on a sporting field in Sylhet.

The president of the BCB stated that it was pointless to hold head curator Gamini de Silva accountable for the tacky pitches in Mirpur and listed the reasons behind their inability to prepare a playable pitch at the cricket stadium in Bangladesh.

Experts from the ICC and other locations have been invited by us. They are all in agreement that the Mirpur pitch is what it is. Placing all the blame on one person is pointless (Gamini de Silva).

“Our failure to give the pitch the necessary rest is the main issue. If you play a lot of games on the field, it will be difficult to maintain. We can fix the Mirpur pitch if we have a year off. But we aren’t even allowed to take a month off, let alone a year. We play home games in Mirpur as well. Thus, you must bear these points in mind.”

The Bangladesh women’s cricket team defeated South Africa in the opening Twenty20 of the three-match series on Sunday in Benoni, adding another victory to an already exciting year for them.

Nigar Sultana, the team’s captain, was not happy with her team because she is still looking for ways to improve. She had led the team to victories in white-ball series played at home against Pakistan, an Asian Games bronze medal, and a home drawn ODI series against India earlier this year.

“We must perform better in the upcoming games. We haven’t exactly performed exceptionally well in this match. We have committed numerous errors. At the Sunday press conference following the game, the captain stated, “We have to correct those mistakes before we can perform even better.

The wicketkeeper-battler was especially dissatisfied with the quantity of dot balls her team used when they were batting, as it prevented them from reaching a higher score.

We performed poorly in a few areas; in our batting, we played about 40–55 dots. We need to lessen that, and the bowlers need to express themselves even more clearly and with fewer errors,” Nigar said.

The captain of Bangladesh led the team and had a great batting performance. She helped the team set a target of 150 runs with her bat, scoring 34 runs off of just 21 balls without losing. Following pacer Jewel, Shafiuddin injury, which limited her to bowling two overs, she also skillfully managed her bowling options. Her risk on 16-year-old leg-spinner Shorna Akter paid off, as the team won by 13 runs with the leg-spinner scoring 5-28.

Bangladesh did, however, have the benefit of playing against a South Africa team that was missing star batswoman Marizanne Kapp because of her participation in the Women’s Big Bash, as well as most of their front-line bowlers due to injuries.

However, Nigar and company did well to take advantage of the home team’s shortcomings in the opening game. In the following two games, which are scheduled for December 6 and 8, they could win the series for the first time ever in any format.

The recent National Cricket League umpiring controversy prompted the BCB Umpires’ Committee to establish a fact-finding committee

.

Following the discovery of evidence of subpar umpiring, the BCB has removed six umpires from the Bangladesh Cricket League, which gets underway today.

Syed Mozahiduzzaman Swapan, Mohammad Wahid, Joynal Abedin, Shyful Islam Jewel, Shafiuddin Ahmed Babu, and Asad Ur Rahman are the six umpires in question.

Although the umpires have been officiating for a long time, the players have frequently questioned their decisions made on the field.
