Green Bay Packers: Former Wide Receiver Al Harris Draws a Daring Comparison Between Aaron Rodgers, Brett Favre, and Dak Prescott
After having two quarterbacks for more than 40 years—Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers—the Green Bay Packers are ending their first regular season with a new, promising franchise quarterback.

In 2008, after serving as Brett Favre’s backup quarterback for the first three years of his NFL career, Aaron Rodgers took the starting position for the Packers. He won the MVP award for the 2010 season after leading them to victory in Super Bowl XLV. In addition to winning league MVP awards in 2011, 2014, 2020, and 2021, he was recognized as the 2011 Associated Press Athlete of the Year. Joining Peyton Manning, Brett Favre, Joe Montana, Jim Brown, and Aaron Rodgers as the only players to win NFL MVP in back-to-back seasons is Rodgers.
Similar to Favre, Aaron Rodgers won a Super Bowl and was named the game’s MVP during his 16 seasons as the quarterback for the Green Bay Packers. He was selected to the first team of the All-Pro Football team four times, one more than his predecessor, and received ten invitations to the Pro Bowl.
Three NFL records belong to Aaron Rodgers: the highest passing rating for a single season (122.5) from 2011, the lowest interception percentage for a single season (2018), and the most consecutive passes without an interception.
He is regarded by many as one of the all-time great quarterbacks and is a lock to be inducted into the Hall of Fame in the future.
When asked about Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers great Al Harris boldly compared Dak Prescott to them.
Al Harris, a former defensive back for the Green Bay Packers who is currently the Dallas Cowboys’ defensive backs coach, had the chance to play alongside both Rodgers and Favre during his amazing tenure with the team from 2003 to 2010.
Harris joined Adam Schefter’s podcast on Wednesday morning. Since he now frequently works with Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott, ESPN NFL Insider asked Harris a thought-provoking question.
Is Dak Prescott’s current playing style at all similar to that of Brett Favre or Aaron Rodgers during your time in Green Bay, where you played for the Packers from 2003 to 2010 and were teammates with both players from 2005 to 2007? Schefter enquired.

Harris stated that Prescott’s performance is a result of his comfort level, while Schefter observed that this is the best Prescott has ever played.
“He was a quarterback before, and he’s doing a great job just seeing it all now that he’s playing football overall. Observing the quarterback play, I see him make checks from the guys’ splits, and he’s doing everything.
Although some Packers supporters might be shaking their heads, Harris responded to the question correctly given Schefter’s presentation.It wasn’t discussed whether Prescott would end his career with the awards that very few quarterbacks in the NFL do.
As an alternative. Harris, who played with both Aaron Rodgers and Brett Favre and currently coaches the unit that practices against the Cowboys quarterback every day, was merely asked if Prescott’s current play reminds him of either player.
Debating Prescott’s outstanding season thus far is difficult. With 26 touchdown passes, he leads the NFL in that category. His 3,234 yards of passing rank fifth in the league at the moment. He has thrown just six interceptions. After 12 games, he is second in the league in QBR (75.4).
Let’s not forget that Rodgers and Favre have won the NFL offensive MVP award a combined seven times, which is why Dak Prescott is currently among the favorites to win.
While he recovers from his Achilles injury in 2023, Prescott has emerged as one of Rodgers’ favorite quarterbacks to watch, the player himself acknowledged. The Cowboys quarterback is elevating his game to new heights, and he went into great detail to explain the small details that the typical fan might miss.
One of the biggest knocks on Prescott has been his inability to thrive in big games, especially when the playoffs come around.
