Thursday’s Browns-Jaguars injury report: Lawrence limited, important lineman still sidelined

There are doubts about who will line up across from Myles Garrett after the Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Cleveland Browns game on Thursday due to the injury report released earlier.

When the Jacksonville Jaguars took the practice field on Thursday, all eyes were on quarterback Trevor Lawrence. Although Fred Greetham pointed out, Lawrence did practice, just not very much. Jim Schwartz, the defensive coordinator for the Cleveland Browns, mentioned during his press conference that the defense was getting ready for both the possibility of bad weather on Sunday that could affect the game and multiple quarterbacks. The Jaguars injury report includes several players in addition to Lawrence, including the team’s left tackle at the moment.

Walker Little, the left tackle for the Jaguars, was hurt on the play that Lawrence did, so even if Lawrence is able to play, Little might not be able to. He has missed both of the team’s practices due to a right hamstring injury that caused him to step on Lawrence’s foot. The Jaguars’ offensive line will be in a similar predicament to the Browns’, unless he can find a way to practice on Friday and appear productive enough to play.

Similar to the Browns, Anton Harrison is a rookie for the Jaguars starting at right tackle. Three rounds ahead of Dawand Jones, who has had a better season thus far, he was chosen in the first round, 28th overall. Cam Robinson is already on injured reserve at left tackle. His replacement was Walker Little. They will then be on their fourth tackle if he is unable to move.

With their star quarterback, the Jaguars appear to have made progress on Thursday. In a limited capacity, Trevor Lawrence made his practice debut, which is a positive step toward being ready for Sunday’s game in Cleveland.

Lawrence did not participate in every drill, but he did move about, performing some dropbacks and running in areas where he did not appear to have a limp.

The Jaguars’ required air travel to Cleveland in the north should also be taken into account, as it won’t aid in Lawrence’s recuperation. The Browns’ use of a natural grass field and the impending rain in the forecast for Sunday are also noteworthy. The Jaguars should be wary of suffering another ankle injury in the event that Lawrence leaves given his potential for slipping.

Lawrence’s recovery won’t be aided by the Jaguars’ mandatory air travel to Cleveland, which is another factor to consider. Notable elements of the Sunday forecast include the Browns’ use of a natural grass field and the expected rain. Given his propensity for slipping, the Jaguars should be cautious lest they sustain another ankle injury in the event that Lawrence departs.

Another thing to think about is that the Jaguars’ forced flight to Cleveland won’t help Lawrence heal. The fact that the Browns will be using a natural grass field and the anticipated rain are two noteworthy aspects of the Sunday forecast. With Lawrence’s tendency to trip and fall, the Jaguars need to exercise caution in case Lawrence leaves with another ankle injury.

It’s also important to consider that Lawrence won’t get better as a result of the Jaguars’ forced flight to Cleveland. Two notable aspects of the Sunday forecast are the Browns’ use of a natural grass field and the expected rain. The Jaguars need to be cautious in case Lawrence leaves with another ankle injury because of his propensity to trip and fall.

BEREA, Ohio — The Cleveland Browns defense has allowed 693 total yards (294 Broncos, 399 Rams) and 65 points (29 Broncos, 36 Rams) in the last two games. That translates to 32.5 points and 345.5 yards per game on average.

With 260.5 yards allowed per game this season, the Browns continue to lead the NFL in this category. With twenty.4 points allowed per game, they rank tenth in the NFL.

What is happening, then?

“I don’t think there’s a reason, it’s just the way some games work,” he remarked. “That is not something we can have. We already put on tape if we are the championship defense that we claim to be. We are unable to avoid it. We record some amazing stuff, but we also record some stuff that isn’t really us. Football in December means it’s time to start playing now. We cannot make mistakes or experience anything similar. Put this device in high gear now, please.
