injury reports for the San Francisco 49ers vs. Arizona Cardinals

Both the Arizona Cardinals (3-10) and the San Francisco 49ers (10-3) have released their Week 15 Thursday reports prior to their NFC West matchup on December 17

.

Restricted Application Participants include: safety Jalen Thompson (toe), offensive tackle Elijah Wilkinson (neck), wide receiver Marquise Brown (heel), wide receiver Michel Wilson (neck), defensive back Bobby Price (quadricep), defensive tackle Kevin Strong (knee), cornerback Starling Thomas V ankle, punter Blake Gillikin (back), cornerback Antonio Hamilton (groin), and linebacker Krys Barnes (ribs)

Murray stands out on the list because, on December 3, during the Cardinals’ thrilling 24-10 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers, he was in agony.

After virtually every drive, Murray would squint and try to move his thumb in response to an unexplained incident where he adjusted it.

Hamilton is back on the field after missing the previous two games due to a groin injury, in contrast to the previous few weeks.

Brown, who did not play yesterday, made a limited comeback today to assist Arizona in their preparations for San Francisco.

Despite not practicing to his full potential during Week 12, Brown participated in the Nov. 26 game against the Los Angeles Rams.

Regarding Price, he has been sidelined since the beginning of November due to a quadriceps injury, but he was cleared to return from injured reserve yesterday.

The following San Francisco 49ers players were unable to play: cornerback Charvarius Ward (groin), guard Aaron Banks (hip), running back Elijah Mitchell (knee), tight end Ross Dwelley (ankle), defensive end Arik Armstead (foot, knee), and linebacker Oren Burks (knee).

Participant in Limited Practice: Spencer Burford, the guard (knee)

Cornerback Darrell Luter Jr. participated in the entire practice (hamstring)

Offense tackle Trent Williams (not related to injury) and cornerback Ambry Thomas (not related to injury) were removed.

Although Williams and Thomas were both well yesterday, they were not present because they needed to attend to personal matters.

For the second day in a row, the 49ers have been without Armstead, Ward, and Greenlaw.

Ward, who started in the previous 30 games available, might miss his first game as a 49er after agreeing to a three-year contract with San Francisco last year.

The nine-year veteran Armstead had 27 tackles and five sacks in 12 games this season before sustaining foot and knee injuries.
