Green Bay Packers: There Could Have Been Two Running Back Injuries Patrick Taylor Will Begin On Sunday

Patrick Taylor, a third-string running back for the Green Bay Packers, might get the start against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday. While A.J. Dillon is recovering from a broken thumb sustained during Monday night football’s 24-22 loss to the New York Giants, Aaron Jones is still dealing with a knee injury.

It could be interesting if Taylor starts for the Packers on Sunday in a crucial game. He ran against the Giants on Monday night football for 30 yards on four carries, averaging 7.5 yards per carry. Patrick Taylor has averaged 5.1 yards per carry while rushing for 101 yards on 20 carries this season with no touchdowns.

In addition, he has eight receptions for 54 yards of receiving yards, averaging 6.8 yards per catch. Packers fans did not anticipate Taylor to start at running back this season, let alone be the starting option on Sunday.

This is the first time that A.J. Dillon has been sidelined for the Packers this season, and Aaron Jones has missed half of the campaign due to injury.

For the majority of the season, Taylor has ranked third on the Packers’ running back depth chart. This weekend will finally be his one big moment for the team. Although it didn’t feel like it, A.J. Dillon broke his thumb, which surprised everyone, including Packers supporters.

With a broken thumb, it will be very difficult for him to play, and the team will likely suffer more than succeed. If Dillon can’t hold the football correctly, he will be prone to fumbling it. There’s a chance Patrick Taylor will act elusive.

and more energy in the game of running.

Due to Jones and Dillon’s injuries, Taylor is being selected off the waiver wire this week by a number of fantasy football owners who are in the playoffs. Taylor’s first NFL start is expected to occur against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday (6-7). Everything will be revealed in Friday’s injury report.
