The All Blacks have announced Scott Robertson’s 2024 management team.
The management group for the 2024 All Blacks, led by new coach Scott Robertson, has been confirmed by New Zealand Rugby.
Seven members of the previous All Blacks management team are still in the group. Eleven of the members come from Super Rugby Pacific management roles in 2023, and eight have experience with senior international teams.
NZR General Manager Professional Rugby Chris Lendrum said, “We are very excited about the mix of top international coaching and management experience and high quality new personnel in the team supporting Scott.”
“We firmly feel that these individuals are the most qualified to uphold and further improve the All Blacks’ legacy in the years to come.
“We are eager to see what this group can accomplish and have worked closely with Scott and his team to create some new roles.”
Tamati Ellison, the current assistant coach of the Crusaders, has been named the Contact Skills coach. The four-test All Black will concentrate on the tackle and breakdown areas. Ellison’s Crusaders role will coexist with his All Blacks role
.
Alongside him are assistants Jason Ryan (forwards), Leon Macdonald (attack), Scott Hansen (defense), and Jason Holland (backs). Sir Wayne Smith, a performance coach, will assist the team.
Scott Roberston greeted everyone, saying, “I’d like to welcome everyone to what is a special team of highly skilled individuals.” Representing our nation is a true honor, and I’m proud of the team we have.
“I am aware of the effort each person has put in and will put forth as we prepare for our first season together. Our main priority is to uphold the incredible legacy of the jersey and do it proudly.
Paul McLaughlan, a former police sergeant who oversaw the Wallabies and Highlanders in the past, is the All Blacks team manager. Known by most as “Moose,” he also played for the Otago NPC and age group teams for several seasons, as well as the New Zealand under-20 team for five years.
Megan Compain will join McLaughlan in a senior management capacity after being appointed as the team’s new Commercial Manager. The former Tall Ferns basketball player represented New Zealand at two Olympic Games and went on to become the first Kiwi to play in the WNBA. After that, she went into marketing for Adidas. She had previously held senior sponsorship and commercial positions with NZR from 2010 to 2020.
Consultant psychiatrist Ceri Evans assumes the position of Head of Mental Performance and Leadership. The ex-All White, who has played for NBA and Formula One teams in addition to the All Blacks since 2010, brings a wealth of high performance experience to the table.

Assistant Defense Coach Scott Hansen
Scott Hansen was a former halfback who played for the Crusaders in the 1996 Super Rugby season.
Jason Holland, the backups’ assistant coach
played for Munster from 1999 until 2008; in the final, he kicked a drop goal to win the 2000 Heineken Cup.
Tamati Ellison, Coach of Contact Skills
Former utility player for the Hurricanes and the All Blacks, now an assistant coach with the Crusaders.
Performance Coach Sir Wayne Smith
Known for having one of the world’s greatest rugby minds, he has coached the Black Ferns and All Blacks to three Rugby World Cup victories.
The Chief Performance Analyst, Jamie Hamilton
played for the Leicester Tigers from 1990 to 2003. Since 2015, he has been a member of the All Blacks.
Al Beeton, a performance analyst assistant
analyst for the Chiefs who assisted Samoa in the 2023 Rugby World Cup.
