The Toronto Blue Jays announced Friday that utilityman Isiah Kiner-Falefa has agreed to a two-year, $15 million contract.
Last season, Kiner-Falefa batted.242 with six home runs and 37 runs batted in 115 games for the New York Yankees.
The 28-year-old Honolulu, Hawaii native made his major-league debut with the Texas Rangers in 2018.
Over the course of his six-year career, Kiner-Falefa has played every position except first base.
In 2020, he won a Gold Glove at third base for the Rangers.

Furthermore, Kiermaier’s influence in the locker room is an important factor that sometimes goes unnoticed. His veteran presence and leadership abilities can have a positive impact on the team’s dynamics. He’s one of those experienced and positive players whose presence fosters a winning culture and inspires his teammates to play better.
Kiermaier was exceptionally durable in the 2023 season despite having hip surgery only a year before. He appeared in 129 games, tying him for second most in a single season. Such dependability is invaluable to the Blue Jays because it ensures outfield stability and a consistent defensive anchor.
