DECEMBER 31 SEAHAWKS O-LINE DAMAGE In Sunday’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, the offensive line starters for the Seattle Seahawks have been sidelined by injuries.

The Seahawks have declared that offensive tackle Abraham Lucas (knee) and center Evan Brown (concussion) will miss the remainder of Sunday’s contest.

After three quarters, Seattle (8-7) was behind Pittsburgh (8-7) 24–17.

STEELERS’ MASON RUDOLPH WILL OPEN AT QB AGAINST SEAHAWKS ON DEC. 29. It should come as no surprise that Mason Rudolph will start at quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday afternoon at Lumen Field against the Seattle Seahawks, according to an announcement made by head coach Mike Tomlin after practice on Friday.

In order to increase their chances of earning a Wild Card in the NFC and AFC races, both teams must win going into this important game (8–7).

Following ankle surgery on December 4, Kenny Pickett, the starting quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers, told the media this week that he feels well enough to play. However, Rudolph impressed last week, tossing George Pickens for two touchdowns and 290 yards passing in the 34-11 victory over the Bengals.

It is still unknown if Mitch Trubisky, an experienced player, or Pickett will be Rudolph’s backup for the game.

DEFENSIVE ROOKIE OF THE YEAR CANDIDATES ARE FEATURED IN DEC. 18 MNF – We know that tonight’s Monday Night Football game between the Eagles and Seahawks will feature two contenders for NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year, even though we’re still unsure if both quarterbacks—Jalen Hurts (illness) and Geno Smith (groin—will suit up.

Most mock drafts from the previous year predicted that Georgia defensive lineman Jalen Carter would be selected by Seattle. However, wary of his off-field issues, the Seahawks selected Devon Witherspoon, a cornerback from Illinois, at No. 5. The Eagles traded up to select Carter four picks later.

Both players, along with Texans edge rusher Will Anderson Jr., have had successful seasons and are contenders for DROY. Witherspoon is currently in third place, while Carter is still the clear favorite to win the prize.

In tonight’s showcase game, a big play has the potential to significantly alter the odds and both teams’ playoff seeding.

Dec. 17: QUESTIONABLE JALEN HURTS, QB for the Eagles The MVP candidate may not be available for the Philadelphia Eagles’ game against the Seattle Seahawks.
