As “Sad,” Kelly Stafford Crises Movement
Kelly, the spouse of Matthew Stafford, is responding to a Lions supporter who is attempting to forbid fans from donning her husband’s jersey during their next playoff game, referring to the suggested strategy as “sad.”
With the Rams coming to town for Detroit’s first postseason game in thirty years on Sunday, Stafford will be returning to the Motor City with the goal of eliminating his former team from the postseason.
At Ford Field, Stafford’s Detroit jersey is typically one of the most worn, even after he was traded to Los Angeles for Jared Goff prior to the 2021 season starting.
However, one fan is attempting to stop that from happening this weekend, claiming on social media this week that the home team may suffer some bad luck if they wear the blue and silver No. 9 threads.
“ANNOUNCEMENT,” the fan captioned the picture on Instagram. “We ask that you not show up to the game wearing a Lions-Stafford jersey. You should not be cutesy or humorous right now.
“Business-wise, this is about driving the last nail in the coffin of SOL. It’s not intimate. Just business.
Kelly Stafford was quickly informed of the impending ban and quickly criticized the idea in the post’s comment section.
She wrote, “Well, this is unfortunate because it totally contradicts our feelings about this city, but Matthew has always been and always will be the bigger person. Hoping for a fantastic match with no injuries.
In the end, the fan replied, writing that the hatred is fleeting.
The Detroit fan said, “We love Matthew, but not this week.”
Sunday’s game is scheduled to begin at 5:15 PM, giving Lions supporters plenty of time to decide on their side of the dispute before kickoff.

chosen TE in Iowa Sam LaPorta, selected 34nd overall in the current draft: LaPorta became the first rookie tight end in NFL history to record the most receptions (120), and this season, he has been quarterback Jared Goff’s second-favorite target behind wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown (164). He and Gibbs made NFL history as the first rookie tandem to score ten or more touchdowns apiece.
In the Lions’ 30-20 victory over the Vikings, Goff completed 23 of 32 pass attempts for 320 yards and two touchdowns.
With 40 yards and one touchdown on ten carries, Montgomery led Detroit’s rushers, but Gibbs trailed closely behind with 30 yards and one touchdown on thirteen carries.
St. Brown had the most receptions (7 for 144 yards and 1 touchdown) of any Lions wide receiver.
Detroit’s defense was led by linebacker Jack Campbell, who recorded 12 total tackles and 1 sack. Hutchinson Aidan added two sacks.
K. Michael Badgley converted both of his three extra point attempts and his lone field goal attempt (39 yards) on special teams, while P. Jake Fox averaged 53.6 yards per punt over the course of five punts.

The biggest question mark regarding the Rams defense’s preparation for this game is LaPorta’s possible absence. No LaPorta or LaPorta, Detroit still has a lot of offensive weapons that Los Angeles needs to be ready for, including WR Jameson, St. Brown’s route running and yards-after-catch ability, Montgomery’s physical running style, and Gibbs’ running and pass-catching abilities.
