Complete Mavs Injury Report: Luka Doncic Out Against Jalen Brunson’s Knicks

The Dallas Mavericks will face Jalen Brunson and the scorching New York Knicks on Thursday, and things won’t get any easier after a disappointing loss to the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday. Luka Doncic is sidelined due to an ankle injury.

If you believed that things couldn’t get much worse after the Dallas Mavericks’ embarrassing game against the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday night, think again.

Prior to the eagerly awaited encounter with the scorching New York Knicks on Thursday, Jalen Brunson, the former Mavericks guard, will play in his first game at American Airlines Center after moving to New York in free agency one and a half years ago.

The Mavs have submitted their most recent injury report, and it states that superstar Luka Doncic will miss Thursday’s game because of an ankle sprain. Doncic, a four-time All-NBA First Team member, had been listed as questionable on the injury report for prior games due to “ankle swelling,” so it appears that he just needs to take a break.

Apart from Doncic, the Mavs are also without Dante Exum due to a plantar sprain, Dereck Lively II and Maxi Kleber are doubtful due to ankle sprains, and Grant Williams is listed as questionable due to an ankle sprain.

The Knicks enter the AAC having triumphed in five straight games following their trade for O.G. Anunoby, a 3-and-D wing. While Doncic heals his ankle, we’ll see if Kyrie Irving and company can emerge as “streak-busters” against a formidable New York team.
