Injury Update: Ravens vs. Texans; Changes to the Roster

The Ravens’ 13-4 regular season record earned them the first seed in the AFC. That is crucial. Why? Since it also comes with a first-round bye. It also couldn’t have come at a better time for the Ravens. When the Steelers and Bills faced off in a chilly Buffalo on Monday, Baltimore head coach John Harbaugh expressed hope that some players would recover in time for Saturday’s Divisional round matchup against the Texans.

A few athletes skipped Friday’s practice. While recovering from injuries, Del’Shawn Phillips (shoulder), Malik Harrison (groin), Odafe Oweh (ankle), Zay Flowers (calf), and Marlon Humphrey (calf) all missed time. “We’re pretty optimistic about everybody, varying degrees of optimism with certain guys,” Harbaugh stated. You just have to watch it happen; it’s just like any other week. A few men are ready to go. Day by day, other guys will become more and more so.”

The fact that Pro Bowl tight end Mark Andrews made his first practice return since sustaining a season-ending ankle injury against the Bengals is the best news for the team and Ravens supporters. In order to rejoin the team in time for the playoffs, Andrews will now have a 21-day window to do so.
