Today’s Injury Report for the Ravens Shows Eight Players
The Baltimore Ravens have officially scheduled their Divisional round playoff opener. They will take on the unexpected Houston Texans on Saturday in the first round of the playoffs, where they will try to win a third Super Bowl.
Getting healthy as soon as possible is probably their biggest priority with four days left before that game to reduce the likelihood of an upset.
According to the team’s official Twitter account, eight players were included on Tuesday’s injury report: tight end Mark Andrews; wide receivers Devin Duvernay, Zay Flowers, and Tylan Wallace; linebackers Malik Harrison, Odafe Oweh, and Del’Shawn Phillips; and cornerback Marlon Humphrey.
Andrews is arguably the most significant of those men because he led the team in receiving yards per game and has long been considered quarterback Lamar Jackson’s favorite target.
Despite missing Week 11 due to an ankle injury, there is a chance he will play on Saturday.
With 858 receiving yards and five touchdowns in his rookie season, Flowers has shown great promise, but Humphrey—a three-time Pro Bowler—will be required to stop Houston’s passing game.
With an NFL-high 13 regular-season wins, Baltimore finished the season fourth in points scored and first in points allowed. They are the favorite to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl next month.
However, the Texans are no laughing matter, as wide receiver Nico Collins has emerged as a serious threat and rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud has proven himself under duress.
They finished 10-7 during the regular season, and they recently defeated the tenacious Cleveland Browns by 31 points in the Wild Card round.
