Tyreek Hill, a wide receiver for the Miami Dolphins, had his attorney file a divorce petition in Broward County court on Monday, according to reports from The Miami Herald and The South Florida Sun Sentinel. According to court documents cited by both publications, Hill’s family law attorney in Fort Lauderdale actually carried out the reported actions.
And yet, Hill has stated on record that this is untrue, even though it is part of the public record. He made it clear on social media on Tuesday that he had no intention of divorcing Keeta Vaccaro, his wife. Keeta is the sister of retired NFL player Kenny Vaccaro, who was a member of the Tennessee Titans and New Orleans Saints.
“Don’t put in the air, boy no the heck we didn’t! We will continue to be a happy married couple,” Hill wrote.
The Herald updated its story to take into account Hill’s tweets, but it did not refute their assertion that his attorney had filed for divorce:
