Even though he has participated in a Super Bowl before, Jared Goff is the talk of Detroit these days.

When Goff saw footage of Detroit Red Wings supporters yelling his name during Thursday’s game, he responded with obvious flattery. He acknowledged on Friday that he had never gone through anything similar while playing for the Los Angeles Rams, and he enjoyed playing in

According to Detroit Free Press reporter Jared Ramsey, Goff said, “It was pretty cool.” “Being a part of a city that cares so much is pretty fun.”

Regarding his tenure with the Rams, Goff continued, “(It) was not like this, no.” “These fans are incredible, but this is a little different—obviously the circumstances of it all kind of feed into that.”

This is less of a jab at Rams supporters than it is a compliment to Lions supporters, who are experiencing the elation of their team’s first NFC Championship appearance since 1991. Should the Lions triumph this Sunday in San Francisco, they will make their first-ever trip to the Super Bowl. Goff was viewed as a bridge quarterback when the Lions acquired him in the Matthew Stafford trade in 2021. However, he is currently the talk of Detroit and will soon be paid handsomely.
