Pro Bowl left guard Joel Bitonio, who has been with the Browns since 2020, gave Callahan praise last week even though he was aware that his departure was most likely imminent.

Bitonio stated, “Coach Callahan has been instrumental for us.” He has aided in many of us on the line’s development. We are appreciative of that. I know of no one who works harder than him. He dedicates his time to us and plays a significant role in the scheme, protections, and run game.

The Browns suffer a great loss with Callahan’s departure, and Stefanski reorganized his staff.

Stefanski dismissed tight ends coach T.C. McCartney, running backs coach Stump Mitchell, and offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt.

For those corresponding roles, he hired Ken Dorsey, Duce Staley, and Tommy Rees; however, the Browns have not yet made the hires public. Additionally, Stefanski appointed Jacques Cesaire, a former Houston assistant, as his defensive line coach
