Statements of support for the Kansas City Chiefs are released by the Patriots, Raiders, and other teams.

A number of teams have issued statements endorsing the Chiefs and the city of Kansas City.

Statements from the Steelers and Commanders said, “Our thoughts are with the victims, their families, the Kansas City community, and Chiefs Kingdom.”

Similar statements were made by the Broncos, Jaguars, Vikings, Rams, and Panthers.

The Patriots released a longer statement that said, “We are deeply saddened and our hearts break for the victims, their families, and the entire Chiefs Kingdom following the horrific tragedy and senseless violence that occurred at today’s victory parade. Today is meant to bring a city and a community together in triumph and celebration.” During this time, we will always have a special place in our hearts for the Chiefs, Kansas City, and the entire region.

In response to the senseless violence at today’s parade, the Raiders wrote that their “thoughts are with the Kansas City Chiefs and their fans.” We offer our sincere sympathies to everyone impacted by this tragic event.

“We are saddened to learn of the senseless loss of life today following the Chiefs championship parade,” the Jets stated in their statement. We are praying for the victims, their families, and the entire community of Kansas City.

The Ravens had earlier shared a consoling message.

In spite of the Raiders’ pursuit, Giants front office assistant stays put.

Jessie Armstead, a former linebacker and Special Assistant to the General Manager of the New York Giants, has reportedly been approached by the Las Vegas Raiders for a similar position, but he has a contract with the Giants and will stay with them, according to the New York Post. Armstead has a long history with the new Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce, but he is not known to be acquainted with general manager Tom Telesco. When Armstead joined the Washington Commanders in 2002–2003, following a nine-year career in New York, the two were first teammates.

Later, Armstead worked as a part-time front office assistant for the Giants, helping with coaching during training camp while Pierce developed his coaching background at the college and high school levels before joining the NFL.
