Derrick Henry will soon be free agent following an incredible few years with the Titans. In 2020, Henry had one of the most outstanding rushing seasons in NFL history. The Alabama player amassed 2,027 yards and 17 touchdowns on the ground.
Henry is still the best rusher in the league in 2024, which is not surprising given that he just finished a season in which he tied for seventh in touchdowns (12) and ranked second in rushing yards (1,167). The Titans want to hold onto the star RB if the situation calls for it, but if Tennessee and Henry are unable to work out a deal, the Ravens have the best chance of acquiring him, according to BetOnline. The teams with the next best chance of snatching Henry are the Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Eagles, Houston Texans, and Minnesota Vikings, respectively. Henry would be a fantastic offensive weapon to add to an already loaded Ravens squad, and the one-two punch of Lamar Jackson and Henry would be unstoppable.

Following its lackluster Super Bowl run, Baltimore must deal with a long list of free agents during the offseason. It’s time to address the personnel and attempt to improve the roster while holding onto some important talent for the Ravens, who have already lost defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald and defensive line coach Anthony Weaver to the coaching turnover. Many issues are resolved when Jackson is at quarterback, but the Ravens are going through an organizational makeover this offseason.
Who is present or absent? The Ravens’ excellent defense was largely due to Justin Madubuike, who has grown into one of the best interior defensive linemen in the entire NFL. Among defensive tackles with at least 250 pass rush snaps in the season, Maduibuke ranked eighth in pressure rate (13.1%), according to the NFL’s Next Gen Stats. Another player they might want to return is Patrick Queen, but with Roquan Smith in the lineup, they might feel secure enough at linebacker to let Queen go.
What causes the holes? Tyler Linderbaum is a long-term piece for the Ravens at center, but they don’t have much else. The Ravens will need to quickly rebuild this group because Ronnie Stanley could be cut and Kevin Zeitler is a free agent. To support Zay Flowers, they should also consider adding wide receivers to their roster. With Kyle Van Noy and Jadeveon Clowney expected to enter the free agent market, they also need to add some depth at edge rusher.
Are they financially stable? Not quite. The Ravens are expected to exceed the salary cap by slightly less than $1 million, so trades, extensions, or restructuring are likely.
