Regarding Odell Beckham Jr., Eric DeCosta says, “We’ll evaluate and see what happens over the next few weeks.”

Following his 14-game season with the Ravens in 2023, wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. will once again be eligible to sign as a free agent in March.

Baltimore general manager Eric DeCosta was questioned about Beckham’s possible return to the team in 2024 during the scouting combine in Indianapolis.

DeCosta stated, “We just texted.” He’s a really wonderful man. I adore Odell.

I think we’ll just kind of assess and see what happens over the next few weeks, but he’s grown to be a great friend of mine and the Ravens.

NFL Tracker: 2024 Trade Deadline Could Be Postponed by Two Weeks
The Baltimore Ravens NFL Tracker will help you stay up to date on all the most recent BREAKING news in the league.

NFL TRADE DEADLINE OF FEBRUARY 27 MAY CHANGE Some teams would like the NFL trade deadline to be moved to after Week 8 in 2023.

In an appearance on PFT, general manager of the Cleveland Browns Andrew Berry stated that he and other teams have suggested delaying the deadline for 2024 by two weeks, to after Week 10 of the regular season.

The additional time could allow teams to make more decisions about whether to sell or buy, and it would also bring the NFL deadline closer to other leagues’ schedules.

At the league meetings in March, 24 out of the 32 teams must vote in favour of any changes.

HIGGINS TAGGED BY BENGALS ON FEB 26 The Cincinnati Bengals officially placed wide receiver Tee Higgins under the franchise tag on Monday morning, making the wide receiver pool less crowded among NFL free agents.

For teams like the Ravens, who will probably be active in their search for a wideout this offseason, that’s one less open market target.

Big names like Mike Evans, Calvin Ridley, and incumbent Odell Beckham Jr. of Baltimore are still available; they will all become free agents upon the start of the new league on March 13.

The NFL Draft in April may be another way for the Ravens to fill the need.

24 FEB ARSTROKED SHERMAN According to Fox 13 in Seattle, former NFL cornerback and current analyst Richard Sherman was arrested for driving under the influence.

The former NFL player was taken into custody early on Saturday morning, as the Washington State Patrol confirmed to Fox 13; Sherman’s booking time is listed as 4:51 a.m. on the King County Jail roster.

Sherman joined FS1’s Undisputed last year and has worked as an analyst for Amazon Prime Thursday Night Football for the previous two seasons.

Over the course of his 11-year career, Sherman played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, San Francisco 49ers, and Seattle Seahawks.
