Cleveland Browns News 3/1: Fresh Views, Fascinating RBs, and Dawand’s Leap for Happiness

Greetings, Cleveland Browns supporters!

Here in Cleveland, it’s a sunny Friday as we prepare for an unusually warm weekend for the beginning of March. My desire to start cleaning up the garden will probably be dashed by my tendency towards “laziness.” It’s not really my favourite thing to do with my time, but if anyone on Cleveland’s east side feels like picking up some leaves and tree branches this weekend, please let me know. I tend to be an insider.

Since Andrew Berry and Kevin Stefanski have already spoken, it seems that the majority of the local media has returned home from Indianapolis, the centre of entertainment, so we don’t have

5. I still don’t care that we still don’t know who is calling plays.
Kevin Stefanski: When I’ve decided who will call offensive plays (PFT), I’ll let you know.

Regarding who will be calling the plays for the Browns offence this season, head coach Kevin Stefanski is still being evasive, and I’m finding it difficult to get excited about the mystery. This year, the head coaches of both Super Bowl teams also served as play callers. Stefanski doesn’t appear to be making mistakes in other aspects of game management, so I don’t mind if he calls plays. Regardless, it’s a cooperative process. However, I suppose it provides the media with a topic of discussion.

4. DONOVAN PUTS UP THE RING

Because we’re so damn smart here at the OBR, we covered this in The Lift yesterday morning. However, throughout the day yesterday, it kept coming up in the media. Folks, try to keep up. It’s a good story, and we need more of those, so there’s no reason I can’t feature some articles about it again today. Here are a few, but if you know how to use Google, there are a tonne more available.

A VERY INTERESTING RB OCCURRED.
RB Alexander Mattison (PFT) will be released by the Vikings.
NFL Trade Rumours: Vikings Release RB Alexander Mattison
Alexander Mattison, a running back, is being released by the Vikings because, (1) doing so will save them $3 million in cap space if he signs a comparable deal, and (2) running backs are basically as disposable as Kleenex these days. Mattison’s availability is intriguing for a team that is unsure about Nick Chubb’s return date, time, or method this season. Plus, he’s an ex-Viking, and we always like that.

A few articles discuss how Kevin Stefanski is attempting to change his offence to zig while the rest of the league zags. The articles simply state that altering the staff members’ human brains is likely to result in different human brain thoughts without delving into the specifics of those new ideas. Most likely, this is accurate. Each of us is a special creature, don’t we? Let’s say, for example, that I’m thinking, “I wish my small but noisy dog would stop barking at everything and disturbing my concentration.” This bloviation would likely be different if another webdork thought something different. Regarding the staff changes at the Browns, the same idea applies. Except that there are fewer dogs and a lot more money at stake.

Dawand Jones was present at the Cavaliers game the other night when the team won with an unlikely long shot in the closing seconds. When Jones leaped up and rejoiced, medical professionals across the Browns XItterverse viewed the film replay and pronounced him to be in good health. This did not satisfy the Akron Beacon-Journal, so they asked him how he was doing, to which he replied. So, instead of just wild conjecture, we now have concrete information. Cheers to journalism! Cheers to traditional media!

Until I declare you to be outdated, you are still relevant. Absolutely correct. I’m also back to watching Breaking Bad.

I hope you have a wonderful one! GO BLUE!
