Mock draft for the Baltimore Ravens in 2024: assembling a more cohesive squad

The Baltimore Ravens had a 13-4 record at the end of the previous campaign. They had the NFL’s best scoring defense and finished fourth in terms of points scored. It was Lamar Jackson’s second MVP of the year.

This did not result in a run for the Super Bowl. Jackson himself had a subpar performance in the AFC Championship Game as Baltimore lost to the eventual champion Kansas City Chiefs.

Going into the 2024 NFL Draft, general manager Eric DeCosta is being scrutinized a little bit because of the postseason collapse. Both sides of the ball have needs. With nine selections, DeCosta has a chance to keep winning the annual competition.

We’ve included a complete 2024 mock draft for the Baltimore Ravens along with analysis below.

The Baltimore Ravens’ selections in the 2024 NFL Draft are listed here.

30th overall in the first round
Second round, total of sixty-two
third phase, 93rd in total
Round four, position 113 overall
130th overall and fourth round
Fifth round, pick number 165
218th pick in the sixth round
228th pick in the seventh round
round seven, position 250 pick

Devin Duvernay and Odell Beckham Jr. were lost by Baltimore in the NFL’s free agency. Zay Flowers, a first-round pick from the previous year, will be the main offensive weapon despite some drama during the offseason. There’s not much to write home about here aside from that. Rashod Bateman suffered following a 2022 campaign marred by injuries. The gist of it is clear. More wide receiver support is needed by Baltimore for Jackson.

That would be largely provided by the 6-foot-2 Mitchell. Additionally, he would be ideal as a larger target to contrast with the somewhat diminutive Flowers. Mitchell is regarded as having a quick release from the line and a quick window for throwing. He also possesses an enormous catch radius. “He’ll be among the best receivers in the league if he can perform as well in every game as he did against Alabama. He caused them issues, and they have first-round corners,” the AFC scouting director said prior to the draft to NFL.com.

With 60 sacks in the previous season, these Ravens led the NFL. It doesn’t seem very logical to use a second-round pick in our most recent Ravens mock draft. That only scratches the surface. Here, there is undoubtedly a need. In NFL free agency, Jadeveon Clowney (9.5 sacks) signed with the Carolina Panthers. Simply put, Odafe Oweh has fallen short of expectations (13 sacks in three seasons).

Isaac, who stands six feet four, could be of immediate assistance as a situational pass rusher. He made an impression during the pre-draft process and finished his career with the Nittany Lions with a record-breaking 27 tackles for loss and 11.5 sacks. In a position of need, this would be a value selection.
