Chicago Bears and former FSU football standout defensive end will face off. Verse Jared

In exactly one and a half weeks is the NFL Draft. Many former players for the Florida State Seminoles are in the draft pool and hope to hear their names called in the 2024 NFL Draft. It’s evidence of the program’s abundance of talent, which was demonstrated at the NFL Combine.

Star edge rusher Jared Verse is one of the former Seminoles who has been the subject of a lot of draft talk for a reasonable amount of time. After joining the program, he had a fantastic 2022 season and continued to demonstrate his potential in the 2023 campaign.

Verse is in town for a Top 30 visit from the Chicago Bears, according to Jordan Schultz. Additionally, they have hosted visits from Dallas Turner of Alabama and Laiatu Latu of UCLA. They appear to be among the first teams looking to select an edge rusher in the draft.

After entering the program, Verse lived in Tallahassee for two seasons while donning garnet and gold. He recorded 18 sacks and 29.5 tackles for loss during that two-year period.

Verse is a talented pass rusher, and the Bears should look to add more to their defensive line as a first step. The quarterback is being pursued by the possible first-round pick, who is a major disruption and playmaker in the backfield. He would also be a major catalyst for a change in culture.

With the first overall pick in the draft, the Bears will most likely select Caleb Williams of USC, ushering in a new era. Verse arrived at Florida State just as the program was starting to turn things around under Mike Norvell, having just finished its first ten-win campaign.

Verse appears to be a great choice for the Bears, who have an extremely bright future ahead of them, for reasons beyond just his ability to attack the football.
