The three IU athletes who used the transfer portal have all committed to different universities.

The three Indiana athletes who used the transfer portal in the spring have now selected their 2019 season teams.

A player needs to register on the transfer portal by May 1st in order to be eligible to play in the upcoming season without needing a waiver.

The three outgoing transfers from Indiana, Kaleb Banks, Payton Sparks, and CJ Gunn, have all decided on their new schools for the upcoming campaign.

Here’s a look at where each will play next winter, sorted by commitment date:

Ball State’s Payton Sparks
2.1 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 51.4 FG% in 7.4 minutes per game at Indiana last season.

Sparks is going back to Ball State, where he spent his first two seasons as a player. The native of Winchester, Indiana, is still eligible for one more season.

At Indiana last season: 3.9 points, one rebound and 34.2 FG% in 12.9 minutes per game. The Lawrence North product will play in the Big East next season for Chris Holtmann, who took over the Blue Demons after his dismissal at Ohio State. Gunn has two seasons of eligibility remaining. At Indiana last season: 2.6 points, 1.8 rebounds and 39.2 FG% in 10.7 minutes per game. A former top-100 recruit, Banks will suit up for the Green Wave, who are coached by Ron Hunter and are in the American Athletic Conference. Banks has two seasons of eligibility remaining.
