The Pittsburgh Steelers may have a quarterbacking problem.
Pittsburgh In addition to adding Russell Wilson, Justin Fields, and Kyle Allen, the Pittsburgh Steelers overhauled their quarterback room this offseason by trading Kenny Pickett, letting go of Mitch Trubisky, and letting Mason Rudolph walk.
Not everyone, though, is incredibly hopeful that it will be successful. Despite the claimed upgrades, the Steelers’ new quarterback room has a number of problems. One was raised by ESPN’s Dan Orlovsky, who suggested that Pittsburgh might be having issues because their quarterbacks are having trouble sacking opponents.
Who is going to take the less ridiculous sacks? After two seasons, Russell Wilson has amassed one hundred sacks. Justin Fields has taken 99. ” Orlovsky stated on ESPN. No other quarterback in the NFL has completed more than 80 passes. So who could take it out of their game, even a little bit? I’m more inclined to agree since Justin is younger.
Orlovsky wondered if the quarterback the Steelers have can make more good plays than bad, and if they can cut out some of the bad plays that starters like Trubisky and Pickett made.
