Seven players, including Daniel Amartey and Caglar Soyuncu, will leave Leicester when their contracts expire in June, the club has confirmed.

Following the Foxes’ relegation to the Championship on the last day of the Premier League season last month, the announcement was made.

Over 100 appearances for Leicester have been made by Turkish defender Soyuncu, who joined the team in 2018 from Freiburg; fellow centurion Amartey made his Leicester debut during the team’s 2016 Premier League title-winning season.

Another departing player is Youri Tielemans, who announced his departure on Instagram last week after four years with the team since joining from Monaco in 2019.

The remaining players, Nampalys Mendy, Ryan Bertrand, Ayoze Perez, and Tete, will depart the King Power when their contracts expire.

With his contract expiring this month, Captain Jonny Evans is still in talks with the Foxes, and Hamza Choudhury’s contract has been exercised to extend it until June 2024.
