With a late goal from Wyatt Johnston, the Stars defeat the Golden Knights 3-2 to close the series deficit to 2-1.
LAS VEGAS: On Saturday night, the Dallas Stars defeated Vegas 3-2 thanks to a goal from Wyatt Johnston in overtime, reducing the lead of the defending champion Golden Knights in the series to 2-1.
Eight shots on goal for the team went to Johnston, who dragged the puck down the left side to the goal line. 16:23 into the extra period, he pulled goalie Logan Thompson low and beat him with a high shot.

Johnston scored his first goal of the playoffs in the opening period, backhanding in a rebound from in front of the net to give Dallas a 1-0 lead. Early in the second half, Heiskanen finished an odd-man rush with a wrist shot that caromed in off the left post to make it 2-0. Dallas outshot the Golden Knights 30 to 10, dominating the first 30 minutes of play. However, Thompson stopped Tyler Sequin twice on breakaways in the second quarter to keep Vegas in the game. Later in the period, the Golden Knights came back to tie the score with two goals in a 3:10 span.
