Saturday altercation: Florida football upsets Tennessee at The Swamp thanks to a quirky, drawn-out ending.

Kickoff time is set early for Florida’s football game against Kentucky on September 30.

In an attempt to drive out time and down the football against the Vols, Florida quarterback Graham Mertz was hit in the shoulder by Tennessee defensive lineman Omari Thomas in the final seconds, sparking the brawl. Mazzccua punched Thomas after George had shoved him.

Due to his involvement in the altercation, Tennessee defensive lineman Omarr Norman-Lott was also suspended for the first half of the Volunteers’ game against UTSA on Saturday.

Billy Napier, the football coach at Florida, stated that the players from Florida who were involved in the incident will also face internal discipline.

Before the suspensions were announced, Napier stated, “We had multiple players that screwed up.” “They put the entire team at risk because, in any event, you might not be available down the road. Just like on Friday nights when some guy calls you names at the neighborhood bar. Will you make a bad choice and jeopardize your wife and children?
