No. 8 RB, 2026 Jonaz Walton’s visit to Alabama revealed that he “loves” Robert Gillespie.

Another practice stop in the spring and another discussion with an Alabama target

CARROLLTON, Georgia: Jonaz Walton, a 2026 Peach State prospect, has had an incredible spring.

In recent months, Ohio State, Ole Miss, Notre Dame, and several other schools have extended offers to the nation’s eighth-ranked running back. He already had an offer from the previous staff from Georgia, which was his first offer, and from Alabama.

The multi-sport star was quickly informed that the Crimson Tide still had an offer for him. During the open contact period in January, Kalen DeBoer stopped by Central (Ga.) High School to let him know he remained a priority.

The reason why that is the case is also not surprising. Within his first two seasons with the Lions, Walton has amassed over 3,300 rushing yards and 42 touchdowns. He competes in several track events, such as the 100 and 200 individual and relay races, and he also excels in these sports. He is also 10’1″ tall with a broad jump. The nation is taking notice of Walton since it has all the makings of a top university.

He told Bama247, “I don’t want to say I’m offer driven, but it kind of drives me more the more I get seen by coaches.” “It simply gives me motivation every day and gives me something to strive toward every day.

“As in, I have to work on this or I have to do this,”

Walton spent Thursday afternoon preparing for this Saturday’s track sectionals, which he discussed in greater detail with Bama247.

BUFORD, Georgia — Every year, Buford High School football practices feature an array of talented players on the field. Numerous D1 prospects, including several Alabama players like running back Justice Haynes, have come through the program. While it’s challenging to observe every prospect in a single afternoon, 6-foot-3, 250-pound Bryce Perry-Wright stands out.

Since his freshman year, when he was named a MaxPreps Freshman All-American, top programs like Alabama, Ohio State, Georgia, and many more have likely been recruiting the No. 4 defensive lineman in the 2026 class because he looks the part. In January, the Crimson Tide made another offer.
