This offseason, Florida anticipates a significant amount of roster turnover, and Swamp247 will be monitoring the changes. The following is a list of players who have left Florida’s roster for any reason, announced their intention to transfer, declared for the upcoming NFL Draft, or been fired from the team.

DL CHRIS THOMAS
Defensive lineman Chris Thomas, a redshirt freshman who had played in just two games during his two seasons as a Gator, declared on December 7 that he was going to use the NCAA transfer portal. Thomas was kicked out of Florida’s program on June 22 for disciplinary reasons, but he was accepted back into the program on August 4 and was back on the roster.
Summerall, a sophomore in 2022 despite it being his fourth season in college, spent the majority of the season as an outside linebacker deep reserve, buried behind starter Brenton Cox and top backup Antwaun Powell-Ryland on the team’s depth chart. Despite this, the 6-foot-5, 231-pound defender played in every Gators regular-season game save one, with special teams accounting for the bulk of his workload. After Cox was fired by the team in late October, Summerall did see an increase in defensive playing time and finished the season with six total tackles. Summerall was also able to contribute in a couple of games, as he recorded three total tackles against Florida State and
DL JALEN LEE
Jalen Lee, a defensive tackle from Watson, Louisiana, is a third-year sophomore who started three games at nose tackle and saw action in all 12 of the Gators’ regular-season games. Lee garnered a lot of reps throughout the season. Lee had eight total tackles at the end of the season, including 0.5 for a loss.
OL YOUSEF MUGHARBIL
Offensive lineman Yousef Mugharbil, a former four-star prospect who was ranked among the top-300 players in the 2021 class by the 247Sports Composite, did not play in any games during his two years with the Gators.
