Next week, Alabama will host a transfer cornerback from Indiana.

Kobee Minor, who was chosen for the All-Big Ten honor roll last season, is anticipated to visit the Tide after logging in this week.

Next week, Alabama is anticipated to welcome Indiana transfer cornerback Kobee Minor for a visit, a source informed Matt Zenitz of 247 Sports.

Minor (6 feet 5 inches, 185 pounds) played for the Hoosiers for one season before logging onto the transfer portal on Monday. Coaches and media selected him as an honorable mention All-Big Ten player after he started eight games in the previous campaign.

Minor played his first three seasons at Texas Tech, starting 23 games, and was a three-star recruit in the 2020 class. He will be a redshirt senior in 2024, the last year he can attend college.

Alabama wants to use the portal, which closed to new students and graduates this week, to increase the depth of its cornerback corps. Ed Woods, a transfer from Arizona State, visited the Tide last week, but he committed to Michigan State this week. This weekend, Alabama will welcome visits from Wake Forest cornerback DaShawn Jones, Penn State safety King Mack, and South Alabama linebacker

“We’ve encountered a few challenges, but ultimately, I believe that the talent level and program we have will be sufficient for our needs. These guys have committed a second time to stay here and build on our work from this spring, and I’m excited about that.”r Khalil Jacobs

Earlier this week, coach Kalen DeBoer of the Tide told Indiana Sports Beat Radio that the team needs to fill three scholarship spots.

DeBoer stated, “We just had a few spots that we could fill.” “We are aware that we need to improve in a few areas on the roster and add some depth in addition to a few players who can start for us on the football field. That has, in my opinion, continued to develop, and we’re moving in the right path. There were just a few spots available for us to work with.
