The current state of the Alabama Crimson Tide football team’s secondary lacks depth, there is no doubting that. The defensive back room in Tuscaloosa has been hit harder than any other position group this offseason due to NFL draft departures and the transfer portal.

The fact that three portal targets will be visiting the campus this weekend and next week indicates that head coach Kalen DeBoer and his staff are actively pursuing defensive backs in the portal.

The Crimson Tide are currently hosting Penn State transfer safety King Mack and Wake Forest transfer cornerback DaShawn Jones, per BamaOnline (subscription required).

Beginning on Monday, Coach DeBoer and crew are anticipated to welcome back former Texas Tech and Indiana cornerback Kobee Minor.

The coaching staff at Alabama will undoubtedly have a busy few days ahead of them because the Tide needs to add secondary depth this offseason.
