RENTON, WA – Providence and Seattle Sounders FC have formally revealed the name of the team’s new training facility and main office in Renton.
The Providence Swedish Performance Center & Clubhouse is the new name for the establishment.
The clubhouse, which opened on February 13, has four full-sized training pitches, a complete gym with specialized equipment, a treatment room, a players’ lounge, and a barbershop. It also has 50,000 square feet of office space. A recovery room with a sauna, cold plunge, hot tub, and cryotherapy chamber will also be helpful to players.
The training facility’s plans were first revealed in 2022, when the site’s former building underwent a two-year renovation.
All soccer operations, including the Academy, Tacoma Defiance, First Team, and of course the Sounders, are housed in the state-of-the-art facility. As Sounders FC celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2024 and looks to lay the groundwork for its next 50 years and beyond, it acts as a generational home for the team.
