Five-star safety Zelus Hicks returned to campus on Saturday to spend more time with Auburn’s secondary coaches, Charles Kelly and Wesley “Crime Dawg” McGriff, who are “both” actively recruiting him, after taking a break from visits for a few months.

Auburn is recruiting 2024 teammate Shamar Arnoux, a cornerback in the 2025 class, to join Hicks, the 2026 standout.

Hugh Freeze and his staff unofficially kicked off the summer this past weekend by welcoming three official and several unofficial visitors to Auburn’s campus. It is going to be a busy time for the Tigers, with over 20 players already scheduled for official visits over the course of the next four weeks. For a major college football coach, the summer months are among the busiest of the year when summer camps are included.

June 2 and June 9 will see two Elite Camps, and June 9 will also see an OL/DL camp. Two of the biggest days of the summer might be June 6-7, along with a youth camp and a specialist camp. Those are the two.

With some significant roster changes coming up in the offseason, Butch Thompson and the Auburn baseball team are in for an extremely interesting period of time. Might there also be personnel changes? That’s certainly a possibility, but we also know that going into the next season, this team will look very different. This season, Auburn threw a lot of its NIL eggs into the hands of Bobby Peirce and Joseph Gonzalez, and regrettably, that didn’t pan out.
