The world number one golfer Scottie Scheffler was arrested last week during the PGA Championship in Kentucky, and the Louisville Metro Police Department is investigating whether any policy violations occurred during that incident.

During his weekly press conference, Louisville Mayor Craig Greenberg stated, “LMPD is going to investigate all of the circumstances and all of the events that took place on Friday morning outside of Valhalla [Golf Club], including whether the officers involved followed LMPD policies.” “I think it’s crucial that we take that action on a regular basis, not just during high-profile occasions like what happened on Friday. If policies were not being followed, that information would be made public and appropriate action would be taken.”

Greenberg continued by saying that investigators are trying to obtain and disseminate any video taken in the vicinity of the incident. Later this week, police chief Jacquelyn Gwinn-Villaroel is anticipated to provide an update on the investigation.

With the lowest score in major championship history, Xander Schauffele won the PGA Championship on Sunday, cashing in at the perfect moment with a 6-foot birdie putt on the last hole. It was his first major victory.

After an exciting week at Valhalla, the Olympic gold medallist received something even more valuable in silver: the massive Wanamaker Trophy.

At the very end, Schauffele entertained everyone with a 10-foot birdie of his own on the par-5 18th hole for a 64. He finished with a 6-under 65 to defeat Bryson DeChambeau.Louisville Football's 2023 NFL Draft Prospect List

With a birdie on the final hole to win by one, Schauffele became the first player to win the PGA Championship since Phil Mickelson in 2005 at Baltusrol. It consumed all of his energy. He had to stand in the sand after his drive on the par-5 18th hole rolled dangerously close to the bunker. Pitching to six feet, he hit it beautifully down the left side, about thirty-five yards short.

DeChambeau was watching Schauffele from a big video board while on the range, keeping loose for a possible playoff appearance. He strolled all the way back to the 18th to join the throng of players who wished to congratulate the Californian, 30, on his win.

With that winning birdie, Schauffele, who started this championship with a 62 to tie the major championship record, finished at 21-under 263. That beats the previous major record, which was shared by Henrik Stenson at the 2016 British Open at Royal Troon and Brooks Koepka at the 2018 PGA Championship at Bellerive, by one shot.
