Here is a snapshot in what Stoke City’s training ground will look like in September 2025 after a major £10m to £12m investment.
Stoke are building a new state of the art two-storey building exclusively for the first team while renovating their current building for the academy and women’s teams. It is a huge project for the club, the most they have ever spent on a single scheme barring when the bet365 Stadium was built in 1997.
Permission has been granted by Newcastle Borough Council and work is expected to start late this summer, taking about 12 months to complete. It will have a similar look to the current building, which was built for £4m and opened in 2010 and has since had a couple of extensions costing £1.5m and £1m.

There will be a gym plus pool as well as a recreational area for players featuring an all-important dartboard and pool table.
Vice-chairman Richard Smith said: “I think it will be something we’ll be immensely proud of. It’s a project that is a significant investment for the club and something we should be showcasing not just to the local area but to players and staff we want to bring into the club to make us better.”
