The Miami Heat are entering the upcoming offseason in a vulnerable position. The Heat were soundly defeated by the Boston Celtics in the opening round of the playoffs this year, despite having advanced to the NBA Finals twice and the Eastern Conference Finals three times in the preceding four seasons.
The fact that they were unable to depend on Jimmy Butler, their best player, was the worst part. Given that Butler has missed more than 15 games in each of his five seasons with the Heat, that has kind of become a recurring theme for the team.
Golden State Warriors supporters have chosen to interpret Butler’s recent Instagram story as evidence that he will be moving to the Bay Area to play alongside Stephen Curry, despite Butler’s uncertain future.
It’s obvious that this isn’t a very serious or accurate report of any sort regarding Butler and the Warriors. Butler was on his way to San Jose to participate in a marketing event for the Palo Alto-based clothing brand Alo.
