Sheffield Wednesday have entered into talks with the representatives of Rangers winger Scott Wright ahead of a potential move, according to TEAMtalk.
As reported by the news website [22 July], although no official bid has yet been launched by the EFL Championship side, there is an early interest and provisional discussions have been held with Wright’s agents
Whilst Nils Koppen, Philippe Clement and the Gers’ backroom staff look to assemble a squad capable of wrestling back Scottish superiority, a host of experienced players have left and Wright could soon be added to the list.
Sheffield Wednesday appear to be slowly building in their interest in Rangers star Wright, with The Sun reporting [7 July] that Danny Rohl’s side could look to bring Wright to South Yorkshire.
Wright has been touted to leave Ibrox this summer, having played little over 700 minutes in the Scottish Premiership last season, his only goals coming with a brace off the bench in a 5-2 win over former club Dundee late on in the campaign.
