The Philadelphia Eagles are one of the top teams, on paper at least, in the NFC as training camp starts up.

They have won a total of 36 games (including playoffs) over the last three seasons with a Super Bowl appearance coming in 2022.

Part of putting together a great team means doing continuous work on the roster to make sure players are healthy and ready to go.

At the start of training camp, the team has made four roster moves.

“We have placed T Gottlieb Ayedze, WR Shaq Davis, and DB Cooper DeJean on the Active Non-Football Injury List and S Sydney Brown on the Active Physically Unable to Perform List,” the team recently announced on social media.

.

Perhaps the most notable name in that group is rookie defensive back Cooper DeJean.

The former All-American at Iowa was drafted in the second round by Philly earlier this offseason and has the potential to play both cornerback and defensive back.

Second-year safety Sydney Brown, who is another former Big Ten defensive back out of Illinois, also will not be participating in practice due to injury.

As a rookie last season, the former third-round pick recorded 45 total tackles, three pass deflections, and a 99-yard interception that was returned for a touchdown.

Both players could be real contributors on the backend for this squad heading into the year, which is why it is paramount that they stay healthy and stay on the field.

Time will tell on when they can both return to the field fully healthy.
