Just months after returning to the stage after a health scare, Bruce Springsteen was forced to cancel a number of European shows after being ordered to rest his voice due to infection.
Instead of wallowing, fans in Marseille, France, Prague, Czech Republic, and Milan, Italy threw their own events and celebrated The Boss by staging sing alongs to his best-known songs. Springsteen took to Instagram to thank fans for the outpouring of love, promising he’d be back soon to “give you the show of your lives.”
“It’s Bruce Springsteen, calling from the wild lands of New Jersey, where I’m just getting over my vocal bug,” he said in a reel, which also featured footage from some of the celebrations. “I have to apologize again for missing those concerts. But more importantly than that, I have to thank our incredible fans in the cities of Marseille and Milan and Prague for their beautiful serenading when we weren’t feeling so good. It was really touching, deeply emotional, and it’s something I won’t forget. We will be back and we will give you the show of your lives. Thank you very much!”
The iconic singer-songwriter is expected to return to the stage June 12 in Madrid, Spain. Shows in Marseille and Prague have been rescheduled for May 31 and June 13, 2025, respectively, with a new Milan date yet to be revealed.
