The 56th NAACP Image Awards, held on February 22, 2025, celebrated outstanding achievements in film, television, music, and literature by artists of color. “Nickel Boys” received multiple accolades, including Outstanding Motion Picture, Outstanding Directing in a Motion Picture for RaMell Ross, and Outstanding Breakthrough Performance in a Motion Picture for Brandon Wilson. Additionally, Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor was honored with Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture for her role in “Nickel Boys.”
