What Ed Sheeran did that made Callum Hudson-Odoi very happy after Nottingham Forest beat Ipswich Town…
Nottingham Forest ensured that Champions League football remained a genuine possibility by thrashing Ipswich Town at Portman Road.
Anthony Elanga scored twice against the relegation-threatened outfit, with Nikola Milenkovic and Jota Silva also bagging in East Anglia.
The Reds were set up well by Nuno Espirito Santo and ultimately, they destroyed yet another Premier League outfit on the counter.
Forest now have a couple of weeks to reset ahead of a big FA Cup quarter-final against Brighton and Premier League fixtures against Manchester United and Aston Villa.
Once again, there were a number of top performers from a Forest perspective, with Elanga rightly getting some praise for his two-goal performance.

What Ed Sheeran gave Callum Hudson-Odoi after Nottingham Forest win
Hudson-Odoi might never have played a fiddle in an Irish band but he’s not got a brand spanking new guitar courtesy of Sheeran.
The Ipswich supporter was at Portman Road to watch his team lose in the Premier League again and it might not have gone down too well that he is schmoozing the opposition.
Hudson-Odoi was in fine form against Ipswich even if he couldn’t get himself among the goal contributors on this occasion.
After the game, Hudson-Odoi was snapped on Ola Aina’s Snapchat story trying to play his present from Sheeran which was signed by the man himself.
Clearly, Hudson-Odoi and Sheeran have a bit of rapport and his new present will likely take pride of place at home.
Callum Hudson-Odoi stats vs Ipswich
Hudson-Odoi was very much in fine form against Ipswich and landing him for just £3 million is pretty astonishing.
The winger has been in goalscoring form of late but yesterday he had to settle for a lesser role against the Tractor Boys.

There were some reservations over Hudson-Odoi’s place in the team earlier this season but right now, the critics have gone silent somewhat.
The winger will only get better as he continues playing regularly and it would appear that Nuno Espirito Santo is the perfect manager for the flying performer.
