Tottenham’s Clinton N’Jie passes Marseille medical, loan completion imminent
It looks as though all hoops have been jumped through in the deal that will take Spurs’ Cameroonian forward back to the French first division.
A quick update on Clinton N’Jie for those of you curious as to what’s going on with him (which is everyone, I assume). A very brief article in Marseille paper La Provence states that Clinton passed his medical at Olympique Marseille yesterday and the loan deal is set to be completed imminently.
The loan will reportedly contain the aforementioned €7m option to buy which will be automatically triggered if Clinton players in a certain number of games for the Ligue 1 club. Interestingly, the same short article also says that Swansea striker Bafetimbi Gomis is also set for a one-year loan to Marseille, which suggests OM might be starting the season with an all-loan starting strike-force.
Still no word on the transfer of Georges-Kevin N’Koudou from Marseille to Tottenham, however. The last reports suggested that everything’s fine, but OM wanted to secure a replacement for N’Koudou before finalizing the transfer. Maybe we might hear some confirmation on both deals early next week?

Report: Tottenham have just offered ‘exceptional’ player to Real Madrid in the last few hours
It’s been a busy week for Tottenham Hotspur on the transfer front, and today especially has been intense.
Spurs started the week by signing Micky van de Ven and Alejo Veliz, and now the Harry Kane transfer saga is at a critical point.
Now, a report from Spanish outlet Marca has provided an update involving yet another Tottenham player.
They claim that Spurs have offered goalkeeper Hugo Lloris to Real Madrid in the last few hours.
The Frenchman has been linked with a move away from Tottenham all summer.
Indeed, Lloris previously said he was looking at other opportunities, but so far, nothing seems to have come his way.
The Independent recently claimed that Lloris has so far been unable to secure a move away from North London.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid have lost the services of Thibaut Courtois for the foreseeable future.
He ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee and is likely to miss the majority of the 2023-24 season.
With that in mind, Real will likely be immediately looking for a replacement that can hit the ground running.
Lloris would certainly be a great shout for them. He’s an absolutely ‘exceptional‘ player with a star-studded CV, including the World Cup.
Let’s see what happens on this front. It’s certainly a solid lead, as all three parties involved seem to be on the same wavelength.
Tottenham have resigned themselves to losing Lloris, who’s looking for a move away, and have planned without him in mind.
Meanwhile, Real are desperate for a new first-choice keeper as soon as possible.

BREAKING NEWS: Tottenham has now agreed to sign 25-year-old who Rio Ferdinand said would be perfect for Arsenal
Tottenham Hotspur now want to sign Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace as they prepare for their upcoming Premier League campaign.
A report from Football London has suggested that Tottenham are continuing to monitor Eze’s situation at Crystal Palace.
All eyes at Tottenham are currently on outgoings, with the news today that Tottenham have accepted an offer for Harry Kane.
If the 30-year-old does leave, then Spurs all of a sudden have to find a solution to replace his goals and assists.
He is arguably irreplaceable, but Ange Postecoglou will already be working on a solution.
One player who could come in and provide more goals next season is Eberechi Eze.
The 25-year-old recently earned his first England cap and after Wilfried Zaha left Palace in the summer, he’s the player Roy Hodgson will be hoping can pick up where he left off.
However, if Tottenham want to sign Eze, then it might be hard for him to turn down a step up at this stage of his career.
Tottenham want to sign Eze
One person who has full faith in Eze’s abilities is Rio Ferdinand.
Speaking about the attacker in the past, he said: “Mad player. He’s playing like he’s in the cage. Just smooth, man. He doesn’t seem fazed either. Every situation you put him in, he’s just calm.
“And he’s in that position where he turns and faces up midfielders or defenders; he can go past people, slip people in and finish. He’d be good at Arsenal, you know. In the [Granit] Xhaka position. Another year”
Tottenham may want to sign Eze to give them another option in midfield to support James Maddison.
Plenty of pressure with be on the 26-year-old to create chances for his teammates this season.
Tottenham’s other central midfielders aren’t well-known for their attacking exploits.
Eze could also play on the wing and if Postecoglou turns to Son Heung-min as his new forward then a space might open up for him on the left.
Given the news about Kane, a centre-forward is likely to be Tottenham’s priority in the transfer market.
However, a sudden influx of cash could tempt them into a move for the 25-year-old.

Tottenham have already found their Harry Kane replacement amid Bayern Munich agreement
Tottenham have already found their Harry Kane replacement as Gift Orban targeted
Tottenham are targeting Gent striker Gift Orban to replace Harry Kane if he joins Bayern Munich, according to reports.
Spurs and Bayern have agreed a fee for Kane reported to be €100 million (£84.6 million), with the 30-year-old now set to choose between the two clubs.
According to Sky Sports News, Kane is ‘increasingly likely’ to stay at Tottenham and snub Bayern’s advances.
But should a scenario arise where the striker does leave the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the coming days, new manager Ange Postecoglou will need to quickly source a replacement.
Richarlison will likely fill in for Kane in the short-term, but Spurs are also eyeing other players to come in and bolster the squad.
And they have reportedly settled on a striker that became a viral sensation for his goals earlier in the year.
Tottenham ‘want to sign Gift Orban’
According to 90min, Spurs are targeting the signing of 21-year-old Orban, who scored 22 goals in 24 appearances for Gent last season.
Three of those goals were scored in a Europa Conference League clash against Turkish club Istanbul Basaksehir last season – a game in which Orban made history.
He netted a hat-trick in three minutes and 25 seconds, the fastest ever recorded in the history of UEFA club competition.
90min claim that Spurs have spoken to Orban and his representatives over a move – and they will be impressed by the way in which the forward has started the campaign.
He netted another hat-trick in a 5-0 Europa Conference League win over Polish side Pogon Szczecin on Wednesday evening.
But there has been some controversy in Belgium over the fact that Orban has been left on the bench on more than one occasion at the beginning of the season – leading manager Hein Vanhaezebrouck to clarify speculation.
He explained: “I am not a coach who immediately calls a disgruntled player to order. There is no problem between Orban and me.
“But in the meantime, everyone knows that I am a coach who rotates when I can’t rotate.
