Sunderland transfer target follows club on Instagram after £1.7m bid

The Sunderland transfer target has now followed the club on Instagram.

Sunderland transfer target Nazariy Rusyn has followed the club on Instagram.

According to Zorya Londonsk last weekSunderland have offered a package of €2million (£1.7million) plus bonuses for the 24-year-old forward following the departure of Issac Lihadji earlier this month.

However, Rusyn following Sunderland on the social media platform Instagram has caused speculation to break out amongst fans that a deal could be close.

Rusyn, who is a Ukrainian youth international, netted 13 goals in 30 games and also provided six assists in Ukrainian Premier League last season and scored for Zorya in their a1-1 draw against Rukh Liev earlier this season.

Zorya Londonsk also stated that other clubs are interested in signing the attacker during the summer transfer window but that Sunderland are the only team to have bid so far.

The Black Cats lost against Preston in the Championship on Saturday afternoon as their winless start to the season continues.

Transfer Latest: Sunderland have another offer rejected for Ukrainian striker

Sunderland’s summer pursuit of a 24-year-old Ukrainian striker rumbles on, with reports from the player’s home nation claiming we’ve had yet another offer turned down.

Sunderland have reportedly gone back in for Zorya Luhansk striker Nazariy Rusyn, according to reports this afternoon in Ukraine.

According to TaToTake’s YouTube channel, Sunderland are constantly improving their offers for Rusyn, with the latest bid said to be €2m and another €2m in bonuses but that offer has been rejected by Zorya’s president Yevhen Heller.

The report goes on to claim that Heller wants €3m for the 24-year-old, as well as a “big bonus”.

Rusyn was the second top scorer in the UPL last season with 13 goals and six assists and has already got off the mark this season.

Burnley close to £14million transfer deal following failed bids for Sunderland’s Jack Clarke

Burnley have seen multiple bids rejected for Sunderland’s Jack Clarke during this summer’s transfer window.

Burnley boss Vincent Kompany says the club are close to completing the signing of Aston Villa winger Aaron Ramsey – following multiple bids for Sunderland’s Jack Clarke.

The Clarets have been keen to strengthen their wide options since promotion to the Premier League, after Nathan Tella returned to parent club Southampton following an impressive loan spell at Turf Moor.

Burnley have been keen to re-sign Tella this summer, while they have also made multiple attempts to sign Clarke, with a latest offer believed to be in the region of £13million.

That bid is still well below Sunderland’s valuation for a player who scored nine Championship goals and provided 13 assists last season.

Clarke also has three years left on his Sunderland contract after joining the club on a permanent transfer from Tottenham a year ago, while it’s believed Spurs negotiated a significant sell-on clause in the deal.

Burnley have brought in former Southampton wideman Nathan Readmond on a free transfer this summer, while spending a seven-figure fee to Espanyol for 18-year-old winger Luca Koleosho and signing wide player Jacob Bruun Larsen on loan.

The Clarets are now said to have agreed an initial £14million fee, plus add-ons, with Villa for Ramsey, who was loaned out to Norwich and Middlesbrough last season.

Whether that ends Burnley’s interest in Clarke remains to be seen, while the Premier League club have also completed the signing of midfielder Sander Berge from Sheffield United for a reported £12million fee.

When asked about Ramsey ahead of his side’s season opener against Manchester City, Kompany said: “The latest that I’ve heard is that we’re close. He’s a talented player and he’s not our player yet, but I hope he will be soon.”

“It won’t be long before, and those who have followed the Championship and know a little bit about the upcoming talents in English football, it won’t be long before Ramsey is also an English international.

“For me it’s just a matter of time and we’re going to be a big part of that journey, but we don’t have to force it, with these type of players you just go with them and at a moment it becomes clear and then you give them a chance.”
