KACPER ŁOPATA ON BRISTOL ROVERS POINT

The defender provided his reaction to the 1-1 draw at the Memorial Stadium on Saturday afternoon for iFollow Barnsley.

In our first away trip of the new campaign, the Reds battled out a competitive affair with the Gas meaning the spoils were shared in Bristol.

Lopata featured for the full game, his third in a week, and despite being disappointed with the result, believes that on reflection the result will be a good one in the context of the whole season.

“I think when we look back at the game, we’ll be happy we got a point away from home, every point counts,” discussed the Pole.

“Especially coming to a tough place like this.”

The draw means the Reds pick up four points from their opening two games of the 23/24 league campaign, following our opening day 7-0 victory against Port Vale at Oakwell.

Despite maintaining an unbeaten start to the season, Łopata insisted that winning is the sole focused outcome when approaching every game, and that continues midweek as we welcome Peterborough United.

“We’re here to win. That’s very important, keeping that momentum. Just because we had a great result last week doesn’t mean we’ve cracked it. Far from it. We had to follow that up today. Now we’re focused on Tuesday night.”
