‘Incredible’ target now back on the market amid claims Newcastle want to sign him

It’s been a busy few days in the transfer window.

Harry Kane has left the Premier League, much to the delight of Alan Shearer. Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia are the subject of what looks like a transfer war between Chelsea and Liverpool.

It’s all kicking off!

Then, there’s Newcastle United.

While perhaps not involved in the biggest transfers at the moment, Eddie Howe has already confirmed the club remain on the lookout for one more addition.

Indeed, Tyler Adams of Leeds United has been linked.

Seemingly bound for Chelsea, the American international could be back on the market.

Leading Premier League clubs keen on move for Tyler Adams

Earlier this summer, the Telegraph claimed Adams was a potential signing discussed behind the scenes at St James’ Park.

After recent developments, according to The Athletic, other leading clubs in the Premier League are ready to move.

Adams, hailed as “incredible” during his time at Leeds, is said to have a release clause of £20m in his contract at Elland Road.

Now his move to Chelsea has collapsed, others could enter the race.

Could perhaps be an opportunistic addition

While defenders look to feature prominently on the agenda for Newcastle at the moment, they have already been opportunistic before.

Though midfield is surely not considered a priority following the signing of Sandro Tonali and emergence of Lewis Miley, altering plans is not without precedence for Newcastle.

They did not enter the market necessarily chasing a right-back but moved for Tino Livramento when he became available.

An international midfielder with a fairly affordable release clause and someone seemingly liked by the recruitment staff, it would hardly be a huge shock to see them move.

Certainly looks like one to watch during what remains of the window.

Sources: Newcastle United set to strike Saudi deal after £35m agreement

Newcastle United could be in line to strike a sponsorship deal with Saudi Arabian airline company Riyadh Air, Football Insider understands.

The newly-formed airline company was launched five months ago with plans to start flights within the next two years.

But the company has already begun expanding into football sponsorship with a front-of-shirt deal with Spanish giants Atletico Madrid.

The La Liga club are set to earn £35million per year as part of a sponsorship deal agreed on Thursday (10 August).

Riyadh Air are owned by the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund and Newcastle chairman Yasir Al-Rumayyan has been appointed in charge of the airline.

Riyadh Air were initially tipped to become Newcastle’s new shirt sponsor ahead of the 2023/24 campaign due to their links with the club’s ownership.

Newcastle ended up partnering with Saudi Arabian company Sela in a £25million per year deal, but Riyadh Air remain keen to stamp their name into Premier League sponsorship and view Newcastle as an ideal partner.

Any potential agreement will strengthen Newcastle’s links to Saudi Arabia and PIF after they also struck deals with Noon and Sela this summer.

The extent and value of a potential Riyadh Air partnership is still under consideration, with both parties aware that any agreement will have to undergo the Premier League’s fair market value assessment.

Sponsoring another top-flight club in England has not been ruled out by Riyadh Air, but Newcastle’s growing popularity in Saudi Arabia has made them a priority.
