Crystal Palace have agreement in principle with player for transfer – Hodgson pushing for move
On Thursday, Tuttosport stated Crystal Palace have made a new bid to sign Perr Schuurs after Roy Hodgson ‘expressly indicated’ the Torino star this summer. It was also stated the Premier League side have offered the defender a deal worth €3m net per year
Friday’s edition of the same newspaper states the 23-year-old’s sale is needed for the Serie A side to sign West Ham United’s Nikola Vlašić and the Hellas Verona duo of Josh Doig and Isak Hien.
Tuttosport state the Turin club don’t want to be ‘blackmailed’ and are waiting for the ‘right offer’, between €35m and €40m, to let go of the centre-back in this window. They have already rejected proposals worth €30m.
It’s explained that Torino are waiting for his suitors, ‘primarily Crystal Palace’, to meet their demands to secure the Dutchman’s services.
Liverpool and West Ham are also in the picture but Palace are the club ‘closest’ to Schuurs.
That’s because Tuttosport say Crystal Palace have an agreement in principle with the defender. They now have to agree a deal with Torino to conclude the operation.
