Sources: Leeds United identify Norwich City star as Tyler Adams replacement, with Farke seeking Kenny McLean reunion

Leeds United are interested in a move for Norwich City midfielder Kenny McLean as Tyler Adams edges closer to a Bournemouth switch, TEAMtalk understands.

Adams is travelling to London today (Friday) to undergo a medical ahead of a surprise move to the Vitality Stadium. That comes after Bournemouth agreed a deal with Leeds in the region of £23m.

The departure of the USA star will be a real blow for Leeds. It will increase the burden on 17-year-old Archie Gray and new arrival Ethan Ampadu. Plus, the Whites had been hopeful of keeping Adams, Jack Harrison and Max Wober, but all three influential stars have essentially gone.

Leeds are now in the market for midfield recruits and could reunite manager Daniel Farke with McLean. TEAMtalk understands Leeds are plotting a swoop for McLean as the 31-year-old would bring much-needed experience and guile to a young squad.

McLean certainly has good pedigree, having helped Norwich win the Championship title in both 2019 and 2021. And Farke is a big admirer of the Sc

ot following the successful time they spent working together.

Although, Leeds will need to put up a convincing bid to strike an agreement. That is because McLean still has two years left to run on his Norwich contract, and the Canaries would be reluctant to lose him to one of their Championship rivals.

Meanwhile, TEAMtalk has also been told Leeds, Everton and Leicester are among the clubs keen on a Burnley ace, though it is Wolves who have made the first approach for his services.
