West Ham United transfer news as Pablo Fornals may already have agreement with Sevilla to seal £7m+ exit

West Ham United midfielder Pablo Fornals may already have an agreement in place with Sevilla to seal his London Stadium exit, according to Mundo Deportivo.

According to the Spanish outlet (22 August), the price of Fornals could be around €8.5million (£7.2m), with Sevilla expected to speed up negotiations to seal his transfer away from West Ham.

AS reporting on their website on Saturday 19 August shared that Sevilla are now eyeing up a move for the Hammers attacker having “surveyed” his situation and according to Mundo Deportivo, Sevilla want to secure his signature quickly after their poor start to the season.

Following the departures of Declan Rice, Gianluca Scamacca, Manuel Lanzini and Nikola Vlasic, there could well be more exits on the cards and Fornals looks to be at the top of that list.

The Spaniard has proven a crucial tool for David Moyes on several occasions over the past two campaigns but with his contract having just a year to run, the East Londoners could well be tempted to cash in on him this summer.

However, Fornals could still represent a damaging loss for Moyes and the club as he always gives his all once he takes to the pitch in East London and that kind of player is very hard to find in today’s market.

Fornals’ desire to part ways and return to his native Spain may be understandable too and if that is the case, then West Ham United mustn’t stand in his way with his contract running down next summer.

It will be better to cash in now and £7m-plus represents excellent business for a player not arguably willing to sign a new deal and seek greener pastures elsewhere. What’s paramount is that the Hammers find a quality replacement, and fast.
