Nottingham Forest want ‘unbelievable’ Manchester City star if Morgan Gibbs-White leaves.
Nottingham Forest are in the market for a number of new players in the summer, with stellar additions going to be the order of the day for the football club.
The Reds are going to be tackling Europe for the first time in 30 years next season, and that means that Nuno Espirito Santo will want to make sure the squad is somewhat bigger for next season.
Forest aren’t sure yet which European competition they will take part in, but that will become clear this evening once the Reds have taken on Chelsea in the final game of the Premier League campaign.
One player who might be playing his last game at the City Ground today is Morgan Gibbs-White, who is fancied by Manchester City.
Forest won’t actively look to sell any of their top players, but it does appear now as though the Reds are preparing a contingency plan should Gibbs-White seek to join Pep Guardiola’s squad next season.

Nottingham Forest want Manchester City star Matheus Nunes
According to The Sun (Print Edition; 25/05, page 58), Forest would like to sign Nunes from Manchester City this summer, with the player likely to be one of several players who leave the Etihad Stadium before the new campaign begins.
Nunes signed for City for £53 million in the summer of 2023, but it’s fair to say that he’s rarely been considered a first-team regular by Guardiola, making 18 starts in the Premier League during 2024/25.
A Portuguese journalist called Nunes ‘unbelievable’ during his time with Sporting CP, and his form with them convinced Wolves that he would be a capable performer in the Premier League.

His time at Wolves was short-lived and he made just 41 appearances for the Molineux-based outfit before moving to join Manchester City in a big-money transfer.
Now, the writing could be on the wall for Nunes with the Citizens and Forest are now keen on landing the player who has scored four goals and registered 15 assists in 67 appearances.
Nunes is the Jack of all trades that Nuno Espirito Santo needs
Squad depth is definitely something that Forest need to have next season, with European football on the table, and Nunes has played pretty much everywhere this season.
Nunes has played most of his football for City this season as a right-back, but that’s very unlikely to be the position that Forest consider him best in their team if he signs ahead of next season.
The 26-year-old has played on the wing, in central midfield and also in the number 10 role for Manchester City this season, playing against Forest at the City Ground and at Wembley in the FA Cup semi-final.
Nunes won’t come cheap this summer, despite his availability. Furthermore, he earns a reported £130,000-a-week at the Etihad Stadium, and it could prove to be a tough transfer for Forest to pull off before the new campaign
