Sources: Swansea City launch bid to sign Stoke star Josh Tymon before transfer deadline

Swansea City have made a £1.5m bid for Stoke City defender Josh Tymon as they look to sign him before the close of the transfer window, TEAMtalk understands.

Swansea are in the market for an attacking full-back who can slot into the left side of their defence and Tymon is on their list of targets.

The Welsh club are keen to replace Ryan Manning following his departure to Southampton with regular right-back Josh Key currently filling in at left-back for Michael Duff’s side.

Tymon, 24, has yet to start in the Championship so far for Stoke this season with summer signing Enda Stevens ahead of him in Alex Neil’s plans at the bet 365 Stadium.

Stoke signed Tymon from Hull City when he was just 18 and after a couple of loans at MK Dons and in Portugal with Famalicao he has established himself as an important member of their team since.

Tymon, who has also been linked with Leeds United, still has two years to run on his current deal and it remains to be seen if Stoke would consider letting the former England U20 international leave to join a Championship rival.
