West Ham make move to sign Emile Smith Rowe – Arsenal price revealed

Arsenal have told Emile Smith Rowe he can complete a permanent move before the window shuts, sources have told Football Insider.

Chelsea and West Ham have registered their interest in a deal for the attacking midfielder

Arsenal could accept a £35-40million offer for Smith Rowe, who has three years left on his contract.

Smith Rowe is among multiple Arsenal players who could be sold to recoup money after they spent about £170 million net this summer.

The 23-year-old played 161 minutes in 12 appearances off the bench last season, which in part was restricted by an ankle injury, and has been an unused substitute in all three of the Gunners’ Premier League games this season.

The midfielder has graduated from the Arsenal youth team and has made 97 senior appearances, netting 18 goals and supplying 11 assists.

Earlier this summer (26 June), Football Insider revealed that Arsenal wanted to keep Smith Rowe despite the arrival of Kai Havertz but there has been a U-turn from the club hierarchy following the wave of new arrivals.

Smith Rowe was the subject of a £30m offer from Aston Villa in 2021 but ultimately remained at the Emirates.

The youngster has featured heavily for England at under-21 level, helping them to European Championship victory this summer where he scored two goals and offered up one assist in the competition.

Smith Rowe has already made his England debut under Gareth Southgate and has featured three times for the senior side.

In other news, Wolves and Crystal Palace race to sign Arsenal star.

NEWS NOW: West Ham officially announce the signing of excellent player. he has already bid his team mates goodbye

Report: West Ham striker signing to be announced tonight after breakthrough in Brazil at the second attempt for Yuri Alberto

A West Ham striker signing is set to be announced tonight after a breakthrough in Brazil at the second attempt for Yuri Alberto.

That’s according to sources speaking to the website Football Insider.

West Ham have quickly switched their full focus to signing a striker before the summer transfer window closes on Friday after officially landing Mohammed Kudus.

The Hammers have been linked with a host of strikers of late, especially since selling Gianluca Scamacca to Atalanta.

Meanwhile current forwards Danny Ings and Michail Antonio continue to be linked with moves away.

David Moyes and Tim Steidten are said to be assessing several options and talks have reportedly been held with PSG outcast Hugo Ekitike and Sevilla’s Youssef En-Nesyri.

Over the weekend there were claims from KUMB that Steidten has flown to Brazil to explore a deal for forward Yuri Alberto.

The likes of The Daily Mail have also since claimed Steidten headed to South America to discuss a potential move with Corinthians for one-capped Brazil striker Alberto.

West Ham were linked with a move for Alberto as far back as June last year in a report from UOL.

But yesterday afternoon ESPN Brazil claimed Corinthians rejected West Ham’s interest out of hand. And the report stated talks were over.

There was a plot twist last night, though, according to Football Insider ‘sources’.

Because the site claimed last night that West Ham have made a breakthrough and an announcement over the signing of Alberto could come in 24 hours.

‘Full agreement and announcement within 24 hours’ says report last night

“West Ham have agreed personal terms with Corinthians striker Yuri Alberto ahead of a permanent move, sources have told Football Insider,” the report states.

“It is believed a full agreement and announcement could come within 24 hours with the Irons now putting the finishing touches on the deal.”

There is no mention of a fee, but it was claimed by Gazeta Esportiva that West Ham have offered a 50 per cent sell-on to get a deal done after seeing an initial £15m bid rejected.

West Ham have been operating with an uncharacteristic German efficiency in the transfer market with Tim Steidten running the show.

But this may go down as his quickest deal yet if Football Insider’s claims are accurate.
